A Historic Wauwatosa Home Reimagined With Marble Countertops

Built in 1885, this Wauwatosa home is a perfect example of how historic charm and modern design can live beautifully side by side. Stone Dimensions had the opportunity to fabricate and install custom countertops throughout the entire home, creating a cohesive flow that honors the home’s character while elevating it for modern living.

Every space was thoughtfully designed with hosting, functionality, and timeless style in mind, making this home as practical as it is stunning.

The Kitchen: Calacatta Raffello Marble Countertops

The kitchen is the heart of this home, and it deserved a material that could hold its own against the home’s architectural history. We installed Calacatta Raffello marble from T&M Supply, a bold yet refined choice known for its dramatic veining and soft white background.

This marble brings instant elegance to the space while still feeling warm and inviting. Paired with custom cabinetry and carefully selected finishes, the Calacatta Raffello marble countertops create a kitchen that feels elevated without losing its sense of comfort. It is a space designed for everyday use and unforgettable gatherings.

The Scullery: A Prep Space Made for Entertaining

Just off the main kitchen, the scullery serves as a dedicated prep and hosting support space. This intentional design allows the main kitchen to stay clean and welcoming while all the behind the scenes work happens out of sight.

For the scullery countertops, we used White Carrara marble from Ann Sacks. This classic marble choice brings a softer, timeless feel that complements the kitchen while still standing on its own. The elegant ogee edge detail adds a layer of craftsmanship and sophistication, making the scullery feel just as special as the main kitchen.

Countertops Throughout the Home

Beyond the kitchen and scullery, Stone Dimensions completed countertops throughout the rest of the home, ensuring consistency in quality and design. Each slab was carefully selected, fabricated, and installed to fit the unique character of the house while supporting modern functionality.
