Project Spotlight: The Arnette Showhouse Kitchen – A Macchia Vecchia Marble Masterpiece

When you step into The Arnette—Amy Carman Design’s breathtaking designer showhouse nestled along the banks of the Fox River in Waterford, Wisconsin—you immediately feel its distinctly Midwestern spirit. It’s a home defined by warmth, uncompromising craftsmanship, and elevated storytelling.
At Stone Dimensions, we were beyond honored to collaborate on such an extraordinary project, partnering with Amy Carman Design and Calia Stone to bring some of the home's most intricate stonework to life.
Today, we are kicking off our multi-part series exploring The Arnette by diving straight into the heart of the home: the kitchen.
A Symphony in Macchia Vecchia Marble

For a space as grand and intentional as The Arnette, ordinary surfaces simply wouldn't do. The vision required stone with personality, movement, and a sense of timeless luxury. Enter: Macchia Vecchia Marble, supplied by Calia Stone.
Known for its dramatic, sweeping veining of warm golds, rich charcoals, and crisp whites against a luminous background, this stone serves as the hero element of the kitchen. But selecting a magnificent slab is only half the battle—translating a high-end designer’s vision into seamless, functional architecture requires precision stone fabrication at its absolute highest level.
The Statement Makers: Custom Sink & Cladded Hood
Two custom details in this kitchen truly showcase the mastery and dedication of our fabrication team:

The Custom Marble-Crafted Sink:
Integrating a sink directly into striking marble requires flawless geometry, watertight execution, and meticulous template matching to keep the stone’s dramatic veining flowing uninterrupted across the basin and counters.

The Marble-Cladded Range Hood:
Moving vertical surfaces requires an entirely different level of engineering and alignment. We meticulously fabricated and clad the range hood in Macchia Vecchia marble, creating a monumental, seamless focal point that anchors the entire cooking space.

Where Craft Meets Vision
Showhouse projects push the boundaries of what is possible in residential design. They demand absolute precision, an eye for pattern matching, and a collaborative spirit between the designer, the stone supplier, and the fabricator.
Working alongside Amy Carman’s incredible team allowed us to push our craft to new heights. Every miter, seam, and contour in this kitchen was executed with the care and reverence a home like The Arnette deserves.
